The Sunday Salon
I just finished Three Cups of Tea by David Oliver Relin and it was a wonderful story about an individual who makes a huge difference in the lives of a small village in Pakistan beginning with a thought of building a school for them. In the next decade he built fifty-five schools, especially for girls. This book will inspire you and challenge your thoughts about ways to promote peace. It was a blessing for me to read this book...Greg Mortenson is an ordinary man with extraordinary character.
On my nightstand...
Marley & Me by John Grogan, A New kind of Christian by Brian D. McLaren, As I Lay Dying by
Willaim Faulkner and The Faith Club by Ranya Idliby, Suzanne Oliver and Priscilla Warner.

Oh, I love that you read as much as I (try) to!
Hoping you've had a lovely Sunday :-)
I saw that 3 cups of teas book at the bookstore the other day and almost bought it. I thought that it was one that you were reading. I'll have to go back and get it since you have now officially recommended it. Right now I am reading Riven by Jerry Jenkins. I'll let you know how it is.
I'm reading Three Cups of Tea book too, Ronda. In fact, I'm over at Book Blogs also where we'll be discussing it starting tomorrow, I guess. I'm not sure if I'll be completely ready as I'm not quite finished, but like you, I think it's a wonderful book so far. And I look forward to talking about it tomorrow...and The Faith Club is one of those books I've wanted to start for a while. I even tried starting an online Faith Club of sorts on Ning, but unfortunately, it never developed.
ok so I guess I better get moving on this book..im hoping to finish it this week and then start marley and me!
