WHAT????

It's just the Hubby and I... and two dogs and two cats left at home. Sometimes, I wonder what a person hiding in the closet would think of us...
Okay, I don't think of this often... because that would just be paranoid but... sometimes I do wonder!

We are aging and starting to show visible signs of aging. Well, I can't actually see the signs... because nine times out of ten...I can't find my glasses! My memory is gone... What was I talking about? Oh..yeah!
My Hubby's hearing is nearly gone...I used to think it was selective hearing until that time in the car...
We were on a romantic drive, just the two of us...when something caught my eye out the window...I can't even remember what it was... ( remember...my memory is gone!) So...I looked at my sweetie and said "Wow, what do you think that was about?" My Hubby looked at me strangely, paused and shrugged his shoulders and then stuck his tongue out!
"Why on earth did you do that?" I said.
He replied "Didn't you say...Stick you tongue out?"
"No! Why would I say that?"
"I don't know...Why did you?"
"I didn't!"
That story had slipped from my mind until a couple of days ago...

The Hubby was in the kitchen reading the paper...silently cursing me for blogging...I am sure, when I was trying to leave a comment for Rhonda about Niagara...it looked like it was spelled wrong...so I yell across the house to the kitchen...
"How do you spell Niagara?"
He answers back "Why do you want to spell Viagra?"
"I don't" I yell..."I want to spell Niagara"
"I...heard...what ...you... said... Why...do...you...want ...to ...spell...Viagra? He said slowly!
"I... don't!" I yell back just as slowly!
He stomps down the hallway..."Why...do...you...want...to... spell ...Viagra?
" I don't" I say..."I want to spell Niagara!"
"Oh...N-i-a-g-r-a"
So...he told me wrong... and that's why I misspelled Niagara on Rhonda's blog!

I do understand this post ..intimately. I am wearing my reading glasses to type this. I can no longer remember important dates or previous addresses or phone numbers. I don't remember what I had for lunch yesterday and when I am blogging I am always asking my husband how to spell something. Last night asked and he said..just call me SC. I said what is that ...he said Spell Checker!

LOL that is pretty funny although I'm sure I shouldn't be laughing!! My husband still has selective hearing, but I'll have to remember to watch for the signs that it's more than that!

Oh we have talks like this all the time. But then I get confused and think that what Richard is saying is actually what I was talking about all along. Yep we're crazy. It's official.

Oh, gosh...it sounds like you have my life. The last kid went off to college this year, and the house really does kinda echo now. The Hubz has always had "selective hearing"--he's really turning more toward "hard of hearing" every day!

Oh my heavens. This is too funny. What a well trained husband that he thinks you tell him to stick out his tongue - and he does! Of course, all of us of a certain age feel like we are living this exact scenario daily. Thanks for linking to this and playing along today.

These kinds of things would be funnier if they weren't happening to YOU, no? It sure makes ME feel better to know that they happen to someone else, too!
I can't remember what else I was going to say...
