The Hubby and I decided that we wanted to go horseback riding on our cruise last year to Cozumel. The brochure said to wear long pants...I didn't have any...I thought what could it hurt?
Well, the answer to that question is... everything all up and down the inside of your thighs... knees... your ankles which by the end of the day will look like "cankles!!!"
Always wear long pants to ride a horse!! Always!!
Besides the raw butt and legs...I had a great time!

We went to Cozumel this summer on a cruise! No horse back riding though! I will remember to wear long pants if I do go though!! Great picture!
Yep,that is the same thing my Uncle Johnny Wayne told me when I would ride horses at his farm. Pants and boots...or else you have to kick them harder to get them to go because they can't really feel what you want them to do as well.

Cowboy asks me all the time - can't I just wear my shorts? "No dear, you must wear those cute Wrangler jeans and your boots EVERY time - or your english riding britches. I'm getting tired of hearing it - he doesn't believe that it'll hurt.

The first and last time I was on a horse it didn't end well--let's just say I found out I was violently allergic to them--not to mention I had a renegade horse that ran off and wouldn't follow the group!
If I'm ever brave enough to try agaion--I'll be sure to wear long pants!

Even though it was fun, I think I would ALWAYS remember to wear long pants. I can't imagine the ouch after.

I have that issue daily with no horse involved. Chaffing, cankles, the whole deal.
Let me tell you girl, even with the long pants all of that hurts. I did it at 18 and it HURT. Can't imagine at this age. OY!

This is good advice and I'm glad I got it before and not after. Everytime we go on vacation and there is horsebackriding, I always want to go but somehow it never works out. Hmmm...maybe this is why? I'm never prepared??
