The Sunday Salon

I have finished The Shack by William P Young for Bloggy Book Club and I will be blogging about that on October 26th...I enjoyed this book!

I am more than half way through Gilead by Marilynne Robinson and so far just consider it a pleasure to be lost in it's pages!
I feel, with these two books read back to back like I might be on a some spiritual journey of some kind...they really have impacted me in a positive way! I would recommend either one.

Ronda, I'm also reading The Shack and I'm finding it hard to follow...don't ask me why, I don't normally have a hard time sticking with a book...especially one that's as well written as this one.

It just might be when I get to bed to read, I'm exhausted and I find myself reading the same sentence three times!! I'll have to find time to read it when I'm not going to bed.

I really need to get it done so that I can discuss it with all of you. :)

Great...I can't wait to find out what everyone else thinks...forgiveness and redemption are just difficult things for us all to understand! Or maybe just for me...

I loved 'Gilead'. The language was so beautifully paced. I am now having qualms about whether or not to read the new one, 'Home' because it hasn't been particularly well reviewed and I don't want to spoil the memory.

I read the Shack and loved it. I can't wait to see what you have to say about it on the 26th! It's listed as one of my must read books.

Ronda,

I thought you might be interested in asking William Paul Young himself some questions you may have. He will be chatting live on Abunga.com tomorrow (10/22) from 2-3 pm EDT. If you're interested, join us by logging into abunga.com/authorsatabunga.com
