It's Just A Number and There is Only 24 Hours to a Day!

This is a post that really won't interest most guys...and may offend some girls but it's my blog and my rant! I have issues with my weight...all my life! I am uncertain how it started and I am tired of wondering at this point...at 50, I want to accept my body, make it strong and not be self -conscious anymore! I was very small almost my whole life...I am not small anymore and I have struggled greatly with this occurrence! I think many women look at me and think that I should just "shut it" about my weight gain and recently I have started to agree. Life is too short and too important to worry about a size! Even if I am now an odd size...I am a (S)Medium ...Haven't heard of that size? No...neither has any of the stores! But none-the-less that is my size! I have little bitty shoulders and a small waist...that's the (S) and big boobs and butt that's the Medium! I bitch and complain and My Hubby is always patient but perplexed by what the big problem is! My friend, Karyn sent me this picture and I finally understand something!!!
Real Men don't care what we look like...they care that we are healthy and happy! I love Pierce Brosnan and Keely Brosnan is my hero!

Here is Mr Brosnan getting caught in a compromising photo...with his wife!!!
I was opening this email when the Hubby walked in...I called him over!
"Okay, I am going to ask you straight out... Is she fat? I asked with that look he dreads...that "this is a test look...for the next sixty seconds..."
He looked like a deer caught in the head lights of a semi-truck!
"Ronda" ...he starts cautiously as if handling nitroglycerin...
"She has an Hour glass shape!" he smiled as if he had hit the ball out of the park.
"That man loves his wife as I love you and she has an hour glass shape!"
Then my Hubby smiled the smile that I fell in love with and said while leaving the room...
"She has a 24 hour glass shape!"
I love my Hubby but...
Mr. Pierce Brosnan will always be my favorite Bond...James Bond!

I gotta tell ya Rhonda you're on to something. Men really do not care, past a certain age. There are men that still care, they are perpetual single a**holes and always will be because they don't understand what a relationship is about. I watch the married guys at work. Their wives are not very pretty, some are chunky and they can't stop talking about their wives. :) So there's hope for me.LOL

I was so shocked when I first saw this picture, but really who cares??!! Hottie Pierce Bronson adores his wife and she is not a size zero. I know I am @ 40 pounds overweight for my body frame, but I get so tired of worrying about it! This is the size I have been for 2 years now. I eat what I want & don't gain weight. It's like my body has found its happy weight. Sure, I'd secretly love to be thinner, but I'm just not willingly to adjust my lifestyle right now. I'm happy & healthy & my husband is happy with me.

I think it is all relative. You see an overweight person in the mirror b/c you are used to being smaller. When I look at you, I see a beautiful, petite woman! Life is too short to deprive yourself of things you love & that make you happy!

I totally agree...with EVERYTHING. My husband thinks I'm nuts when I get all stressed about my weight. It bothers me WAY more than it even registers with him.

I have decided that my weight gives me something to gripe incessantly about. So that leaves me with 2 options, change it or accept it. I know I could be better and what to do to fix it. Some days it's important, some days it's not. I think you are dead on when you realize that hubby loves you for you, not what you look like. We all should have that attitude.

I totally agree, and Pierce Brosnan was the perfect Bond. Such a hottie!

I have such a hard time accepting that Mr. B finds me... desireable? I mean.. like... I turn him on??????

Pat of that is being married to someone for 10 years who... never said anything good about me....

But yeah.. I'm blabbering. But I agree.. PB is a HOTTIE and I have thought that since WAY back when he was on Remington Steele.

I get what you are saying...My husband loves my body, I do not. I try not to obsess, but when things don't fit, or I have to go up a size, it does matter....Most people tell me I look good, and thin...but I am 45 lbs overweight, and that would still put me at 135lbs...ugh. I get it...really i do.

I'll soon be 50 and I'm concerned with the numbers...not on the scale, but on the pulse beat and the blood pressure, ect... I am loosing some weight but not to be vain, to be healthy. My baby loves me just the way that I am!! :)

We ladies should be happy with our bodies no matter our weight... as long as our hearts are healthy and not overworked. THAT's when we get into trouble.....

I coached the little kids on Ryan's swim team last summer... along with the rest of the coaching staff (none of whom was over 23 OR 120lbs). It took ALL I had to get into the pool on the first day of practice in front of 100 parents. But I had so much fun, I forgot about it... well, not entirely, but it didn't bother me enough to keep me out of the water and my little sinkers loved me! So I'm with you... we should all stop worrying and just start focusing on being HEALTHY and having fun!

Hmm. I am seriously thinking about scaring the kids and wearing a two piece swim suit this year. Why not?!

Good for the Brosnan's.
I am not as small as I was but nothing close to huge but I still have issues and don't know a female who doesn't.
Unfortunately society still puts idealized not even they are that gorgeous people on the covers and we buy them.
I wish I could be that unself-conscious.

I'm with you -- I now weigh 40 pounds more than I did in high school -- but I was so ridiculously thin back then. Old Dog says I'm the most beautiful woman he's ever seen, and that's all that matters!

I think most men don't care..as long as they genuinely love the woman. Obviously, they don't want her getting morbidly obese, because that becomes a health concern. But yes, I think us women do the most damage to our own selves in this area. I'm really struggling with this right now, since I started this pregnancy overweight. It's really bothering me how big I'm getting and I can't do a darn thing about it!!!

And now I love Pierce Brosnan even more!

In my excitement over PB, I pressed post too quickly! I'm 43 and decided this year I just want to FEEL healthy. I don't give a flip about the stupid number anymore...well I give a flip about the important numbers...cholesterol, blood pressure, but the dumb scale number...nah..not so much anymore:)

I had a baby at 30, and I SWEAR that is where this extra 20 lbs came from. It is irrelevant that I gained the weigh after he was born.. I have decided I don't care what I weigh, as long as I exercise and eat right it's all good.
PB and his wife ROCKS! She is strutting in that bikini..

I couldn't wait to read this since you had promised it might offend me. I do so love to be offended. But, alas, I was not. I love this post and the photos. And you and your husband:)
