These are my fearless children...getting ready to have fun!
My oldest son getting just the right camera angle!
My daughter, so cold and yet having fun!
My daughter, so cold and yet having fun!
This was a sad time for us as we were losing My Hubby's father to kidney disease and we went up to Virginia to say goodbye! At one point during the week all the grand kids, with our blessing went to this ski resort to spend some quality time together...so out of the sad time came a beautiful memory for all of them! We all have a special memory of that week, a sad and happy and very cold memory! We miss you Leonard!

I never saw these pictures, looks like fun- well except for the snow part!
Well, that looks familiar!
Sorry to hear about your father-in-law :(.
And if you do decide you might like to do the BC walk, let me know!!! I'd love the company!
Oh no Ronda--I'm so sorry about your FIL.
The sledding sure looks fun though--I'm glad you had some happy memories there!
Dude, the only good kind of cold is the kind that comes in little cubes from the freezer.
(just fyi, it is currently 10 degrees here in the middle, -8 with the windch-ch-chill)
I am so sorry for your loss of your FIL. Thank goodness you had a good time in his honor.
I love that your family chose to celebrate life, I think that honors the ones we love so much!
I'm such a geographical dumb-ass. I had no idea they got snow in Virginia. I thought it was HOT HOT HOT! lol
Sorry to hear about "Simon's" father! That's nice you could all go there to say good-bye. And they definitely look like awesome memories! That tubing looks like a blast!
i am sure this brings back bittersweet memories. life is to be enjoyed, isn't it? that's hard to remember sometimes.
The morning my father was passing away my sister and I went shopping for new shoes... it was great therapy and took our minds off the huge sadness we were both feeling. We smile for a reason.... it is healing to laugh and smile and we both needed to heal that day. Great post and love seeing our Virginia snow on your blog!

It was a great time! :) Oh and FYI, those are your daughter's feet and she is getting just the right angle as we are being pulled up the slope.
Wow...your feet look big!
Good for you!
Oh wow that looks like so much fun! I wish we would get snow instead of ice every winter....well that is kind of a lie I wish I didn't get any wintry weather period but that looks a whole lot more fun than ice!
Wow, that looks like some major tube sledding!
Sorry to hear about your FIL....
Beautiful pictures... I am sure your father-in-law was happy that you all got together to say goodbye. Sorry about the loss, though.
And in the midst of death we are in life.... Even the worst times have some sweet memories.
