friday foto The Dancing Queen

I was 17 in March of 1976 and this song was very popular, and it was my anthem! I turned 18 in May and at that time you could drink but I didn't care about that...I could get into Discos! I have always loved to dance and have never cared who watched or said what! I danced at my oldest son's wedding and also at my only daughter's! I will dance the night away at my last Born's wedding on November 21...I am thankful her family feels like I do about dancing!
Please remember to dance like no one's watching! For more friday fotos visit Cute Candid Carrie!
BTW my silk suit was Ivory! And I thought I was so hot!

How can you not want to dance listening to that song? Of course, I would do it with no one around.

Even my kids love this song now!! Well, except the too cool 15 year old.... lol! But I think deep down, she MUST love it. It's in our genetic make up.

I love the in-synch kicks... enough practice and anybody can do it (NOT)

Brings back some memories. All I have to say is I'm glad I was already married by the time disco arrived. If I had had to dance it would have been all over and I would have been condemned to singlehood until disco passed. {*grin*}

Good advice Ronda! I've always been a self conscious dancer--I need to loosen up!!

You so would have been my idol in 76. I would be the fat redhead girl watching from the sidelines and wishing I was you as you dance the night away.

I remember being able to finally get into discos. I'm a dancin' fool.

I still love Disco music! DH Hates it though.
I had a peach suit in the seventies and I remember wearing it on a field trip and someone else had the same one. I was lagging behind the class dragging myself dejectedly (is that a word?) along the wall when my teacher told me to catch up with the class. Memories...

I've always wished I was old enough to have been able to go to a real disco...........:) Instead, I was that age at the height of grunge. Yikes.

OMG......My sister used to play this song all the time.....I like it now....but back then I was 5 or 6 and my sister and everything she did annoyed me.

I LOVE to dance -- I think maybe the worst thing about getting old (which I'm generally okay with) is that I seldom get the chance anymore....

I actually popped my ABBA Gold cd in while I cleaned house today! Love it!

I wish I was really good at something from the seventies so I could make a come back! I could do my eyeshadow exactly like Donna Mills on Knotts Landing, that should be worth something!

Happy Fx4

I love to dance too, and like Jeanne said when you get older, you seldom get the chance to.
