I am Fully Alive!

I had my drawing for the book In My Heart I Carry A Star by Derek Maul and the winner is jill jill bo bill...you lucky girl! I think I still have your address from my last give-away! Congrats! I really recommend this book...it makes a nice Christmas gift! I have enjoyed reading this book very much!
I survived the engagement party and it was lovely...I will post pictures this week. My future daughter-in-law has a fun and wonderfully close family, it was a pleasure to meet them all and see how well they treat my son! I felt such peace...later that evening, not right at first though! Because none of the food was coming out on time...so I kept thinking...I have 48 people coming to my home and I don't have any food ready! My brother and his beautiful wife as well as other of our family members came...I felt so grateful to hear him laugh and see his face! I am so sorry for the family of the man that was killed by the gunman...I know it won't be okay for them for a long time!

I have survived the Christmas play and my Hubby said I was great...really that's all that matters is that they think you did great! I prayed before I walked out and said..."God you should really take over because I have not only forgotten my lines but I can no longer remember my name or why I am here!" I love my church family...and it is a family...not perfect...sometimes messy like a family...but it is messy sometimes when you love each other!
What this past week has taught me is life is not neat, fair or orderly...it's messy but God puts you where you are needed and it's up to you whether you behave as one of God's people!

You were awesome at the play! Everyone pretty-much nailed their part and the effect was a great summary of the Greatest Story Ever Told... The cool thing is it can be our story, too - DEREK (also glad to be part of a church family not needing to be perfect!)

What a blessing to like your future in-laws. I hope to have that experience one day myself. And I'm sure they love you!

I'm glad the party and the play all worked out. God has a great way of doing things. His plans always work out better than how I imagine them too in my mind! Good thing He is in charge!
