December Bloggy Book Club

December's choice for Bloggy Book Club is In My Heart I Carry a Star by Derek Maul. It is a collection of stories for Advent, written by my friend Derek, a former teacher trained in psychology and education. Derek is also the author of Get Real: A spiritual Journey for Men.

I attend church where Derek's wife Rebekah has been our pastor for over ten years and our family loves them both very much. This book is wonderful and I say this not just as a friend but as a Christian and an avid reader.

Join me, this holiday season in reading a book that may help us recapture the meaning of Christmas that might have slipped away from us.
Next Monday, I will have a drawing for a copy of this book...preschool fair as always.
Leave a comment if you are interested and I will put your name in the drawing.
If you would like to visit Derek's blog...you may do so here! And if you would like to order a copy from amazon go here!

Don't count me in for the drawing (although I did accidentally give away my personal copy this weekend...). But do let me thank you for the bloggy attention - AND put in a plug to your most excellent readers for the book-signing event at Books-A-Million (Brandon Mall) this Saturday - 2:00-5:00PM. RONDA ROCKS!!!

I just checked the library online and they do not own a copy. You would think someone would be paying attention and try to stock local authors!
Please put my name in the drawing. I might as well be three books behind...
Love you!

Christmas is such a wonderful time of year. So many turn to "more important" things of life. Merry Christmas!
