Thank You For Being My Friend....

Scary Mommy has an awesome giveaway...
Good Morning coffee! Which should be called Good Morning Friend because that is how I feel about my morning coffee! I would love to win this and I am sure you would too! So head over and see Scary Mommy! Speaking of Friends...

Dawn at Dawn's Place gave me this really nice award and I want to pass it along to people who are as nice as Dawn!

We need friends for many reasons,
all throughout the season.
We need friends to comfort us
when we are sad,
and to have fun with us
when we are glad.
We need friends to give us good advice,
We need someone we can count on,
and treat us nice.
We need friends to remember us
once we have passed
sharing memories that will always last.

So here is my five choices and the reason's why I chose them...

Brenda at Queen of Good Intentions because she is a good Mommy who is creative but in an way that doesn't beat the budget...she knows how to make these amazing things out of inexpensive, everyday items. I really admire that!
Gina at Lattes & Lipsticks because she remembers that your spouse can be your greatest friend if you let them be! I admire that!

Carrie at Candid Carrie
because she is funny...like no one else can be and because she throws amazing parties every Friday and invites all of us...and NEVER asks us to clean up after ourselves! I just love that!

Jennifer at the Fun Hous
e because she loves her family and creates a fearless daily celebration of living life to the fullest and she invites us to follow along! I admire her fearlessness!

Elizabeth at Thoughts from an evil overlord...I still think this is the most oddly named blog...
but I love that she always teaches me something new...I am always informed after visiting her. I love learning new things!
Speaking of Elizabeth she is having an awesome giveaway to celebrate a very important birthday!!
Wish her a Happy Birthday and enter her contest...also please consider registering as a bone marrow donor. She has the information on her blog...I told you...she is always teaching!

Community or Cult ? You Decide...Next on The Bonnie Hunt Show

BTW...That won't be a real Bonnie Hunt Show topic...I was so kidding!!
MamaHut gave me this award and I think it is beautiful...I have seen others with it and have had a mild case of blog envy...I am not proud of this... just honest! I also want to say how funny I think she is and how I love where she lives...she hasn't just supported The Bonnie Hunt Show Give-away she has named her Alpaca Bonnie Ronda Hunt! BTW...I think Bonnie Ronda Hunt is far more beautiful than the other Alpacas!
OK here's what I have to do,
Explain the meaning which is...
To translate the gift from Portuguese to English, it means:"This blog invests and believes, the proximity"[meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' -being close through proxy] I have taken this to mean a feeling of community. Many others have already received this award and I agree they do give us all a sense of community in this blogging neighborhood! I think of this in some strange way...as like when my Mom during the 50's used to hang out on the front porch talking to the other Moms or when she would have ladies over for coffee...I maybe wrong maybe I have joined some kind of cult and I am ready to drink the cool-aid! I don't know but I am having a good time! So, thank you to all of you...Many of you already have the award so I am going to try to acknowledge those who haven't and who make us all feel like a community so......

Speaking of Elizabeth...she is celebrating the two year anniversary of her bone marrow transplant...Yeah! To spread awareness of this awesome gift she is doing a Give-away...please stop by and see her. I have donated a Thanksgiving Coffee Basket to be used as a prize and there are so many other great prizes ...so send her some love and please tell all of your friends!!! Please remember my Give-away and the deadline...Candid Carrie is really in competition with me for the best Bonnie Hunt fan award so she is making some deals with the gods about who is going to win this thing. I will put the Grandson in charge of it so it will be Pre-school fair...which as you know is the fairest rules of all!!! Also, besides the great Bonnie Hunt Show Gifts...I am including another Thanksgiving Coffee Basket to this drawing as well...I love this company...just the best!!!

Well, she is rather pretty, huh?
Thanks to Blogstalker and The Queen of Good Intentions...I have this baby girl, er angel beauty queen!

However, I would like to bless my fellow addicts...I mean Bloggers with this fine Angel Beauty Queen...I am not going to pick people who already have this award but you have great blogs and you know who you are because I comment on your blogs daily!!! These are the ones...that have not been blessed with this particular award and they are great blogs that I enjoy and comment daily!!!
Gina at Lattes & Lipsticks
Dawn at Dawn's Place
Jennifer at The Fun House
Mamahut at Mamahut's House
Beth Ann at Team Thornhill News
Please pick anyone you feel is deserving of this award because you all rock!

Here are the rules:

1. Choose 5 bloggers that you feel are "Kick Ass Bloggers"
2. Let them know in your post or via email or blog comments that they have received an award.

Kendra at Nest Half Empty because I seem to relate to all she writes about.
Jennifer at The Fun House because it IS always FUN at her house! and last but not least...
Blogstalker at The Blogstalker
I really enjoy this blog...just a lot of random stuff from a stalker type! I mean what's not to enjoy!

Okay, Here's What I am thinkin'

My Mood is much better...
I think such a load is lifted off our shoulders when we forgive and when we seek forgiveness and receive forgiveness. I know we all talk about World Peace but really...How many of us can really achieve peace in our own homes? It's not always easy to "get along," especially when family is close and when I say "We are always in each other's "bidness", I mean it... because we have a family business! Well, we all just do the best we can and with God's help it will be enough.

My Grandmother (Granny) is out of the hospital but she is still struggling with pain...our family will have some tough decisions to make about her continued care. We all want to do what is right for her as she has always been there for all of us. I thank God for my Mother and my Aunt who have worked around the clock to take care of her. As our society ages, we have got to get this right...or I see a great many families in peril, financially and emotionally!

I want to give a big shout out to my friend karyn...I share her with Brenda from Queen of Good Intentions but I wish you all a friend just like her...
She is the kind of friend who would always bail you out of jail...no matter what you did and tell you the truth about it..."Prison won't be so bad...you'll make lot's of friends!" I wish she had time to blog because she would be my first choice for the Kick Ass Blogger Award....
speaking of ...

I won one! Thank you Lisa from JujuBoo...I want you to know I didn't have my glasses on but...I quickly went and got them ...because I thought it said "Big Ass Blogger Award"...

I am not sure I would have recovered from that one! Thank you again and I will post my choices later this afternoon!

I Do Love Pink!

Nic at My Family and Other Animals has nominated me for an award and I am thrilled, first it would appear I am in great company and also there is a lovely story attached to the award. If you check out Nic and her blog you will see what is so special about her and I am flattered that she says such lies about me! Tee Hee...

Instructions on how to pass this along.1. on your blog, copy and paste the award, these rules, a link back to the person who selected you, and a link to this post: "Pink is my favorite color...". There's a story of Pink Rose Award and other graphic to choose from.2. Select as many award recipients as you would like, link to their blogs(if they have one), and explain why you have chose them.3. Let them know that you have selected them for an award by commenting on one of their posts.4. If you are selected, pass it on by giving the Pink Rose Award to others.5. If you find that someone you want to nominate has already been selected by someone else, you can still honor them by posting a comment on their award post stating your reasons for wishing to grant them the award.6. You do not have to wait until someone nominates you to nominate someone else.

I would like to nominate Angela at Dinners Ready , it is a beautiful blog with wonderful recipes that are for vegans or vegetarians which is something I have been exploring for about a month. She is very helpful with information and it usually has very pretty pictures to go with those great recipes.

Speaking of good food, Sassy at Cupcakes & Conundrums has a great blog about Cupcakes and her struggles with infertility, she also recently gave us a lovely tour of Australia, she also includes really great photos!

Teri at Let Me Think On it, just recently showed us great tips on photography via Camp Candid Carrie Field trips and she has encouraged me again to try to be a better photographer.
Very cool music as well!

I found Rayma at Rayma's Shoe Box, or maybe she found me while blog hunting, but we share a love of books and her blog is smart and provocative and she will enlighten you on ways you can make a difference in the lives of the people of Darfur. Please, please read her latest post you will be glad you did!

I would like to include Brenda at Queen of Good Intentions because she is so creative and always gives me tips to help me with my new blog, she has a new blog for Party Planning, as well and both are very pretty and creative.

Lastly, and I think I have saved the best for last ... Kendra at Nest Half Empty for her series on her Faith Journey, it was thoughtful and honest and truly something I enjoyed reading. I thank her for sharing.

Thanks, Nic...not just for acknowledging me but for all of your encouraging comments and for always putting a smile on my face!

I have been Nominated...

Thank you to Kendra at http://nesthalfempty.blogspot.com/ for nominating me for my very first award! I do not deserve this because I am not nearly as smart or creative as you but I thank you sincerely none-the-less!

Once an award is received, the rules are as follows:
1. Put the logo on your blog.
2. Add a link to the person who awarded you. (She is also on my blogroll...She's that good!)
3. Nominate at least seven other blogs.
4. Add links to those blogs on your blog.
5. Leave a message for your nominee on their blog.

Ok, now for the people I nominate in no particular order:
1. Brenda at http://goodintentionsqueen.blogspot.com/ for always inspiring me. I copy her every move like the cool girl in High School, only she is very cool about me copying!
2. Lolo at http://lolo-thesimplethings.blogspot.com/ for her sensitivity and thoughtfulness which comes across in her writing posts on her blog.
3. Jennifer at http://thefunhousejennifer.blogspot.com/ has a very interesting and beautiful web page that I envy every time I visit. She is also the mother of five beautiful children hence the name The Fun House ,which by the way, it always sounds like a fun day there!
4. Rhonda at http://adayinrhondaslife.blogspot.com/ has beautiful pictures, she is smart and funny and come on her name is Rhonda!
5. Bethany at http://exlibrisbb.blogspot.com/ is a beautifully written and designed blog about my favorite thing...books.
6.Nic at http://bunnyfuller.blogspot.com/ is funny and kind as well as having a beautifully designed blog. I miss her when she goes away on Vacation (or Holiday!)
7. And last, but so... not the least...S.Krishna at http://skrishnasbooks.blogspot.com/ who is really
the go-to person for all things books. I love reading her reviews, they are excellent!

As you can see...I still haven't learned how to do links and my pictures don't always come out the way I would like but I am having fun and I appreciate the encouragement! Thank you, Kendra
